THE CHANCE TO WIN A DREAM HOME WHILE HELPING CHILDREN IMPACTED BY ALCOHOL AND DRUGS;
How One Long-time NACoA Supporter is Helping

Former NACoA Board member Dr. Gary M. Weiss and the non-profit organization Next Step® Institute of Integrative Medicine, Inc. have teamed up with NACoA and five other charitable organizations to help one lucky ticket holder win the home of his/her dreams, while supporting children’s charities from Vail to Haiti.

The Eagle Nest Raffle will run through December 15, 2010 at 5 p.m. A drawing will be held on December 31st at 3 p.m. to determine the lucky winner.

Tickets are available for donations of $100 for a single ticket, $250 for three tickets, $500 for seven tickets, and $1,000 for 15 tickets. ONLY 10,000 TICKETS WILL BE DISTRIBUTED, improving chances for winning.

The home being raffled is located in the Vail Valley Bluffs neighborhood in Eagle, Colorado, located between Beaver Creek and Vail ski resorts. Built in 2008, it is brand new, and located on a perfect corner lot in one of Eagle County’s most desirable areas. The winner will gain title of the home, free and clear of any liens or mortgages.

The “nest” offers three bedrooms and two and a half baths, and more than 2200 square feet with an additional 1300 square feet of unfinished basement. The functional floor plan includes open kitchen and dining area, great room, convenient laundry room, and a bonus room over the attached two-car garage. Amenities include vaulted ceiling and fireplace in the great room, granite countertops, energy efficient appliances, solid wood doors and trim, covered front and back porches, Hardie board siding with cedar shingle finish, and super-insulation with dual forced air heat with a/c.

Dr. Gary M. Weiss is a neurologist specializing in diseases and conditions affecting the brain, spine, and nervous system, with offices located in Colorado’s Eagle, Summit, and Pitkin counties. A dynamic advocate for children and teens, the goal of the Eagle Nest Raffle is to support charities whose missions meet the needs of at-risk youth, and/or create or fund innovative programs for developing healthy habits in kids.

In addition to NACoA, Dr. Weiss has chosen to team up with the Vail Valley Performing Arts Academy, the Eagle Valley Religious Foundation, Holy Name of Jesus, UNICEF (Haiti), and his own non-profit effort, Action for Children. With 100% of net proceeds supporting participating organizations, ticket buyers can specify which charity they would like their proceeds to support. “With the ability of every ticket buyer wishing to help children experiencing the loss and emotional trauma of living with alcohol or drug abuse in their families able to designate that 100% of their ticket purchase price is to go to NACoA, the possibilities of winning a beautiful home in Colorado’s year-round Vail vacation community and helping protect and support these vulnerable children is a win/win. NACoA is grateful to be part of this unique and generous fund-raising activity,” said Sis Wenger, NACoA President and CEO.
